Daly was forced to withdraw yesterday morning with a quad complaint ahead of Saturday’s match against Western Region at Yarrawonga’s JC Lowe Oval.
“I pulled up a bit sore on Tuesday night and then I trained last night (Thursday) and got through, but it pulled up sore again,” he said.
“It’s disappointing, but I didn’t want to go out and do it again and let anybody down and then miss games of club footy.”
Daly was named on the bench, with Myrtleford’s impressive Elijah Wales moving from the emergency list.
No other player has been added as an emergency, with Myrtleford’s Lachie Dale and Wangaratta whiz Nick Richards set to play if needed.

Meanwhile, Western Region will unveil some of its league’s most exciting youngsters as it looks to rebound from a 125-point hiding against the Northern Football League.
“Richard Wuruki-Barber has got electrifying pace and a lethal left foot,” coach Brodie Holland said.
“He’s only 19 years of age, so I’m really excited to see what he can do.
“We’ve got Lachie Tanner from Altona, he’s quick as well and a good ball user and can kick goals.”
Tanner will certainly know Albury’s two representatives in Brayden O’Hara and Michael Duncan as he played in the Tigers’ reserves, as well as the UWS Giants in the NEAFL, last year.
“We’ve also got a big fellow by the name of Luke Goetz, who’ll play in the ruck, maybe forward as well, he’s a a smart big man (202cm), moves very well and very athletic,” the former Fremantle and Collingwood player said.
“I think those three especially, I’m really excited to see what they can do.”
The winner will contest next year’s three v four match.
