The Saints trailed by only 17 points at three-quarter time, but a seven-goal final term guided the visitors to an 18.14 (122) to 12.8 (80) win.
Along with Wodonga best and fairest Jarrod Hodgkin, Bowles was the club’s key signing and he’s been improving since starting in round two against Albury, kicking two goals against the Saints.
“They’re (Myrtleford) starting to get a few players back and they’re a four or five goal better side at home,” Raiders’ coach Daryn Cresswell said.
“They stuck it to us and we were poor with the footy and turned it over a fair bit.
“Sometimes you’ve got to find a way to win and we really did that in the second half.”
Connor Newnham booted four goals, while former Howlong forward Scott Robinson landed three on debut.
Lachie Dale kicked four for the Saints.
