Corryong's ANZ branch will shut its doors forever next month, with the bank claiming only 16 per cent of customers use the branch.

An ANZ spokeswoman said of those who list Corryong as their ‘home branch’ 67 per cent prefer internet or mobile banking.
She said it had been a difficult decision but the bank will close on August 29.

The spokeswoman said ANZ was consulting with the branch’s single staff member and ‘supporting them through the transition’.
“Customers have been changing the way they do their banking,” she said.
“We have been responding to this change by making sure we provide the services our customers use most and reconfiguring our branch network.”
The spokeswoman said a number of options were in place for customers including Bank@Post, online and mobile banking.
