Saturday night’s 101-75 blowout at the hands of the Frankston Blues was a poor start to a pivotal weekend, and left the visitors with it all to do on Sunday afternoon against ladder leaders Kilsyth.
Though they improved on their effort from the night before, the Cobras were ultimately too much, sinking the Bandits 108-92.
Rashad Hassan stood tall on Saturday night against the Blues, dropping 30 points on 23 shots, but he just didn’t have the support, nor could the Bandits get the stops, to stay in the game.
Deba George was kept to just four points, while Lamar Mallory (12) and Tevin Jackson (13) found the going tough.
Jackson was on fire against the Cobras, dropping 30 points, but some deadeye three point shooting from Kilsyth’s Felix van Hofe proved too much.
