The Albury RSPCA volunteer branch has scheduled a meeting next week to welcome new volunteers and discuss the group’s future.
Last Friday The Border Mail reported Albury RSPCA might be forced to close owing to a lack of people willing to join the organising committee.
A desexing program had already been suspended.
A branch spokeswoman said the committee members were now trying to sort through all the information after people came forward following the appeal for community assistance.
“At this point, we have had an enormous response,” she said.
The branch meeting will be held on Tuesday between 7pm and 8.30pm at Albury RSPCA, 610 Hume Street, Albury.
