With the reigning premier having Nathan Grimes, Jarrod Williams and Adrian Rijnbeek in its line-up together for the first time last weekend, there is growing optimism in the Demons’ camp.
“They were better the second time we played them than the first and I’d expect them to be better again this time,” Federal coach Gerard Midson said.
“They have had a couple of good inclusions so they have a fairly potent forward-line.
“We’re just worried about getting ourselves right though.”
Federal can almost seal second spot with a win.
Corryong will hold a Beyond Blue day on Saturday with its footballers wearing a specially-designed jumper and netballers donning blue socks.
Cudgewa host Tumbarumba and Border-Walwa meet Bullioh.
