Police intercepted the 29-year-old man on the Hume Highway at Holbrook on Sunday night after he was detected at 151km/h.
He was tested at the town’s police station and returned a reading of 0.181.
Another driver was caught travelling at 158km/h at Holbrook about 1am on Tuesday.
The 19-year-old probationary driver was restricted to a maximum speed of 100km/h and lost his licence for six months.
He was also issued tickets for failing to keep left and display P-plates.
Sergeant Matt Zemaitis said the incidents were “extremely disappointing”.
“Speed is our biggest killer on our roads,” he said.
“You’ve got people driving at speed and one significantly impaired by alcohol.
“That is a recipe for potential disaster.”
