The 11-year-old bird had a bit of a shock when she discovered her bird bath had frozen completely one recent morning.
Owner Greg Day of Mount Beatuy, said the free-flight Corella couldn’t work out what was going on when she tried to take her early-morning bath.
Unfortunately for Cloe, minimum temperatures are going to remain below zero in Mount Beauty all week, except for a low of one degree predicted on Friday, while maximum temperatures remain in single figures.
Albury-Wodonga will also dip below freezing with the Bureau of Meterology predicting a low of -1 on Saturday, with showers predicted on Thursday and Friday.
While many might consider seeking warmer pastures when their bath freezes over, it doesn’t look like Cloe has any plans to leave home.
Mr Day took her in when her previous owner died.
“She’s free to leave when she wants but chooses to stay,” he said.
