Claire Montgomery was the tournament coordinator at the weekend’s Victorian Open Junior Championships and the Albury-Wodonga Senior Titles.
“The lighting they have got there now is fantastic, it’s international level lighting,” she said.
“The only thing that Albury has against them is their flooring, it’s a bit too grippy.
“You get that flooring (taraflex) in there, that would be the icing on the cake for Albury.”
Montgomery says the issue is a high priority for the Albury Wodonga Table Tennis Association, with the 2020 nationals on the agenda.
Meanwhile, Nicholas Lum won two junior State titles.
“He just played in the World Cadet Championships in China and got into the gold medal match,” Montgomery said.
And Jasmine Chao, one of Australia’s best players, won the women’s.
