Eric Chew was extradited from Albury to Wodonga court on Friday after being charged a day earlier.
It’s alleged he was involved in an aggravated break-in which injured a 57-year-old man at a London Road property in Wodonga in the early hours of Sunday morning.
He has been charged with aggravated home invasion, intentionally causing injury and recklessly causing injury.
Chew appeared agitated in Wodonga courtroom, with the proceedings video linked to the Shepparton Magistrates Court.
He did not apply for bail.
The court heard he was on medication for PTSD, anxiety and depression, and would need to see a doctor while in custody.
The matter will return to court for a committal mention on December 13.
