The Young Voices Albury-Wodonga members will perform two songs in Madame Butterfly at the Albury Entertainment Centre.
Choir director Bohdan Krowicky said the opera was only one highlight among many upcoming events.
He said members of the choir – which began in 2017 under the auspices of the Albury-Wodonga Theatre Company – would join the World Voices Choir for a concert The Circle of Life.
He said they had started planning for Carols by Candlelight in Wodonga and expected to continue strong ties with Victorian Opera.
“While not everyone can perform tonight, we are really building something special for the future,” he said.
The Circle of Life concert will run at The Cube Wodonga in March 2019.
Young Voices Albury-Wodonga practices at Wodonga Senior Secondary College on Tuesdays (during Victorian school terms excluding tonight) from 4.30pm to 6pm.
