Aurora College, which provides online classes to high-achieving students at Billabong High School, as well as several other Riverina schools, was recognised for school achievement in the school of science.
A number of others were recognised at the awards, including James Fallon High School dance teacher Katrina Joss and Corowa High School student John Schnelle.
Department of Education secretary Mark Scott said there had been a wide range of achievements honoured at the awards.
“Whether it is students’ academic excellence preparing them for jobs of the future, teachers’ innovation in guiding and supporting them, support staff or whole-school and community efforts helping our schools be their very best – everyone is helping to lay solid foundations for our future society,” Mr Scott said.
The Aurora College began at Billabong High in 2017.
