WHEN it comes to supporting the drought relief appeal people are digging deep.
And in the case of the eastern Riverina community they have lovingly sewn a quilt that is bound to earn plenty of kudos int he rural community.
Lyn Jacobsen of Pleasant Hills explained that John Deere was celebrating 100 years since the tractors were brought to Australia.
It was decided to auction a John Deere quilt to help with the Country Women’s Association Drought Relief Fund.
If the classic green and gold colours of John Deere and the fascination with this brand are to be a gauge the quilt is bound to earn plenty of interest.
The quilt will be auctioned at Henty Machinery Field Days at The Stump, on Thursday morning at 11am.
