With the club fielding nine sides last season, officials have moved to shore up their numbers by holding Come and Try sessions.
The next session will be held at GT Aquatics from 6.30pm to 7.30pm next Tuesday with A-grade players Tyson Mutsch and Sam Beddoes heavily involved.
“We’re particularly keen to build our junior numbers and we welcome any youngsters to come along and try the sport,” club treasurer Sharlene Mutsch said.
“It doesn’t matter if they haven’t played before. It’s all about participation and giving kids an opportunity.”
Senior players are also invited to take part in the session.
Promising youngster Tyson Mutsch was recently invited to the Born 2002 Men’s National Camp in Perth in October.
He was named in the 35-member squad after a strong performance for NSW at Pan Pacs in New Zealand July.
Former Australian Sharks mentor John Fox is coach.
The Ovens and Murray season starts on October 6.
Player inquiries can be made with Sharlene Mutsch on 0423 496 290.
