Just before turning 12, Isabelle decided to take on the world of modelling in the hopes of making new friends.
Ahead of the state competition, she was confident.
“When I saw the stage and the other contestants I was both scared and excited,” she said.
“I was shaking the whole time I was waiting for my turn. Then I went out on the runway and it was fun.”
Isabelle and her mother, Cellina, had a nervous wait as the winner wasn’t announced until the next day.
“When I saw my name I was happy and excited,” she said.
“It was an amazing experience and I can’t wait to do it all over again.”
The national event runs on September 22 and 23.
