Yarrawonga and Oakleigh Chargers’ James Jordon wasn’t selected for the Murray Bushrangers at under 16 level and was then cut by Sandringham prior to this year’s TAC Cup.

“Yeah, definitely (it builds resilience) and it’s made me work harder and it’s starting to pay off,” he said.

After the Dragons’ rejection, the Chargers came calling.

“A real point of difference to our group is just the way he competes, he uses the ball well and he’s got some good versatility,” Chargers’ talent manager Craig Notman said.

“He’s been invited to an AFL screening, so there’s certainly interest.

“To have that off limited experience in the TAC Cup it says he’s doing plenty right.”

The son of bush star Daryl Jordon, he’s a first cousin of the O and M’s Adam Prior.
