Benjamin Woodall, 35, was asked why he had tried to outrun police on his bicycle.
“I was trying to get away, obviously,” he said
Woodall knew the police were after him after he skipped court.
He also had six bags of meth on him weighing about three grams and $500 cash with no explanation.
He'd been seen by officers on Melrose Drive without a helmet and took off and stacked on the corner of Mayfair and Angus Avenue.
It followed an incident in October 2016 where he refused a roadside drug test.
Woodall led a married life with two kids, a mortgage and a job until things fell apart three years ago and he turned to ice.
Magistrate John Murphy fined him $1000 and banned from driving for a year.
