About 130 guests attended the Albury donor recognition ceremony held at Regent Cinema on Thursday evening as a way for Australian Red Cross Blood Service to say an official thank-you.
Two couples were among the donors acknowledged, with the Pattens of Lavington, Jo (250) and Trevor (150), and the Wodonga Scotts, Jane (100) and Paul (150), reaching milestones.
Community relations officer Cathy Chapman said Dean Harris was recognised as a bone marrow donor, less common as people went on a register but might not be called up to donate.
The event heard from blood recipient Ronwyn Davies, who underwent a liver transplant in 2005.
“We always have a guest speaker who’s a recipient and it’s always great for those that donate regularly to actually meet people that they help,” Ms Chapman said.
