Fourth generation butchers on the Border are now delivering meat from their Haus to yours.
The online store is perfect for the fortnightly shopper.
- Bonita Bollinghaus
The Haus of Meat has launched an online store, and the good news for customers is that delivery is free – on all orders.
The Haus of Meat, which has stores in Lavington and West Wodonga, is operated by Bonita Bollinghaus and her husband John.
The couple is handling and packing the orders.
Bonita said the online store offered a convenient time-saver and could be ideal for those wanting to fill their freezer, bulk buy or were planning a barbecue gathering at home with friends and family.
“The online store is perfect for the fortnightly shopper,” Bonita said.
“All of the gourmet products usually available in store will be available to order online.”
Bonita also said as another time saver for people in a hurry, Haus of Meat has put together nine packs of favourites.
These are The BBQ Pack: Crowd Pleaser; Mum’s Favourites; The Essentials; The Fortnightly Shop; The Meatlovers (Beef Only); Schnitzel Lovers Combo; Spring into Your Favourite Lamb Only Pack; Dad’s Favourite BBQ Pack; and the K.I.S.S BBQ Pack.
Bonita said home delivery through the online store was available for both the Albury and Wodonga areas during Saturdays and Sundays.
And of course, she said customers can always still buy their meat in-store if they prefer.

It was back in 2001 when the company first started trading under the name The Haus of Meat in Birallee Village, Wodonga.
It was the third butcher shop operated by Mark Bollinghaus (Bonita’s father) at the time, along with his locations in Albury and Wodonga, both trading under different names.
Over time, Mark changed all his stores to trade under The Haus of Meat title.
Currently, the business operates out of two locations – Birallee Village in Wodonga and at Discount Grocery Warehouse in Lavington.
John started in 2008 as an apprentice and Bonita had worked in the business part-time for more than a decade before taking over operating duties.
