Wangaratta and Wodonga Raiders staged a classic clash in round 11 with the premiers snaring a two-goal thriller.
The match exploded in the second quarter when the Pies’ Joe Richards was concussed.
Wangaratta players made a beeline for Jordan Rouse.
Richards’ older brother, Nick, was charged with striking Rouse and sent off for 15 minutes.
The Pies were fuming with the report and free kick count.
Their mood wasn’t helped when Nick Richards was suspended for two weeks.
Wangaratta asked the league to investigate Rouse and he also fronted the tribunal, receiving a three-match ban, two suspended.
Raiders were adamant the big defender didn’t do anything wrong.
Raiders were also bitterly disappointed with some comments as they were walking off.
