The Tallangatta and District Netball league saw one of the most thrilling A-Grade netball grand finals to date, with the Hoppers edging out the Hawks, while a similarly thrilling encounter occurred in the Ovens and Murray, with the Tigers springing another major upset, this time over the Panthers. Both games went to extra time.
Hockey Albury-Wodonga also enjoyed a terrific day for their division one grand finals, with Norths and Falcons coming out on top after a long season.
