And despite being given a hefty fine and a six month ban on the spot, they were caught a short time later behind the wheel.
The 30-year-old Colombian man came to police attention about 10pm on Monday south of Holbrook.
His speed was recorded at 202km/h and he was fined $2435, and ordered not to drive for six months.
Police then found the man behind the wheel of the Volkswagen north of Holbrook about 11.30pm.
He was issued a court attendance notice for unlicensed driving.
Sergeant Nick Fahy said crashing at that speed would almost certainly be fatal, and police wouldn’t tolerate it.
“The consequences will be catastrophic if a collision occurred with an animal, tree or another vehicle,” he said.
