Wiscombe polled 56 votes to win from fellow second-rower Jon Huggett (48).
Thunder coach Adrian Purtell declared the teenager should launch himself at an NRL career.
It came after the hard-running junior representative player scored four tries, which is extremely rare for a forward, in a late season game against Wagga Kangaroos.
“He’s a natural footy player, obviously it comes down to opportunity and circumstance,” Purtell said.
“I’d love to have an off-season with him, work really hard, get him in the gym and work on a few little things.
“The kid would be silly if he doesn’t have a crack because he’s got plenty of ability.”
Wiscombe finished the season, where the Thunder missed finals for the third time in four seasons, at 92kgs and he knows that’s one of the areas he needs to develop.
“Definitely my size and a bit of my defence,” he said at the time.
“It’s been my dream since I’ve been a kid (to play NRL).”
Meanwhile, Rhys Dawe snared reserve grade’s top award (35 votes) from Hugh Duncan (24).
Rhys Mitsch (45) posted a 13-vote win over Mason Fuller at under 18 level, while Will Edgar (47) edged out Canberra Raiders’ Harold Matthews Cup rep Aidan Connell in the under 16s.
Molly Daly (45) won the League Tag from Pani Rupapere (37).
