I’Anson has been the premier player in the Brocklesby and District association for several years and is a proven performer in CAW after having a stint with New City.
Tassell and I’Anson will provide support for the best pace attack in the competition, alongside Nathan and Ryan Brown, Brett Davies and Daryl Tuffey.
Culcairn youngster Rory Jenkins is another Panther addition while Ballarat’s Nathan Smith showed promise with the bat in a cameo late last season.
Lavington has lost premiership players Will Heriot and Andrew Mackinlay, with the duo returning to home club Holbrook for its 150-year celebrations.
Chris Galvin will play with former teammate Ross Pawson at Sydney club Northern Districts.
“We have lost a few and picked up a few but should stay very competitive,” coach Sam O’Connor said.
“There is good depth at the club.”
In good news, Ryan Brown is set to play in round one after injuring his knee playing for Upper Murray Football League club Bullioh.
It was originally feared he may miss the start of the season.
“I told him we want him to be right for the end of the season, but he’s come along well and looks set to play next weekend,” O’Connor said.
CAW’s provincial season starts next weekend with Twenty20 matches on Saturday and Sunday.
