The rider, who was wearing a T-shirt and shorts, had been travelling north on Mate Street on Thursday morning.
A driver pulling onto Mate Street from Logan Road failed to see the 20-year-old motorcyclist and pulled out in front of him.
The rider had only a short amount of time to react.
The braking impact caused the rear wheel of the bike to lift off the ground before it struck the car.
The 20-year-old flipped over the vehicle and landed on the road.
He laid motionless on the ground for about 90 seconds as witnesses came to his aid.
He eventually stood up and walked to the side of the road before being taken to hospital.
A NSW Ambulance spokesman said he did not have life-threatening injuries.
The incident was captured by at least two security cameras, including one at the nearby APCO service station.
Manager Paul Armstrong said it appeared the driver had failed to see the oncoming motorbike.
The rider had been travelling in a blind spot next to a utility.
“He’s exceptionally lucky,” Mr Armstrong said.
“He’s lucky he wasn’t de-gloved on the road.”
The car driver appeared visibly distressed moments after the incident.
The motorbike rider appeared to have been travelling at the speed limit.
Some drivers continued through the crash scene only seconds after the crash.
"The rider landed probably five metres in front of the car,” Mr Armstrong said.
"He just laid there motionless.”
