McCormick, 18, arrived on the Border last week and is set to be unleashed by the Hoppers in their opening Twenty20 clash against Belvoir on Saturday.
Captain-coach Ash Borella is confident McCormick will make an impression.
“We’ll see how he goes,” Borella said.
“He looks good.”
Addision has played with North Albury for the past two seasons and was effective with the bat and ball last season, taking 22 wickets and making 266 runs.
“We lose a bit of batting with Ryan leaving but hopefully we can pick it up with the ball through George,” he said.
North Albury has also lost John Purtell to Eskdale.
The Hoppers are in the mix for several other recruits but are waiting on clearances.
Borella has just returned to Australia after a stint with English club Cowdrey.
