The museum began in 1998 in the building previously used by Granya Primary School, which had closed.
Its collection includes hundreds of photos and histories of Granya’s pioneering families, many of whom still have descendants in the region.
Committee member Pam Eade said a lot of volunteer work had contributed to the project’s success.
“We are celebrating that the museum has been in the community and running for 20 years,” she said.
“We’re unveiling, it’s called the Star Wagon, which was a wagon donated to us for the museum.
“It was actually used to bring goods up to Granya, but it originally came from South Australia with the Star family.”
The day includes a morning tea from 10am and a barbecue lunch.
