Last year’s clash went down to the wire, with Ovens and Murray holding off the Albury and District outfit to win on aggregate (205-192) and retain the Jack Beck Memorial Shield.
Ovens and Murray’s strong performance in the morning matches proved enough to claim the overall victory.

Meanwhile, Albury and District came up short in its clash with Wagga District last weekend at Wagga RSL.
Wagga prevailed by 25 shots in game one and 30 in game two, with Glenn Harrison and Terry Hensel’s rinks the best performed for Albury and District across the day.
Following this weekend’s match-up, Albury and District will finalise its team to contest the Bing Walder Shield at Wagga on November 3 and 4.
