In August, Crown prosecutors indicated their intentions to downgrade Anthony Shane Hagan’s charges from murder to accessory after the fact.
In Wagga Local Court on Wednesday, public defender Michael King said the facts of the offending should be settled in a fortnight, when Mr Hagan is expected to plead guilty and be committed to a higher court for sentencing.
The second man charged with Ms Boyd’s murder, Samuel John Shephard, also had his case heard separately on Wednesday.
Solicitor Shaun Mortimer told the court Mr Shephard’s case was also progressing.
Mr Shephard will return to court on October 17 and Mr Hagan will follow on October 24, with both men remaining behind bars in the meantime.
