It's work Doug Baird is uniquely placed to appreciate.
The father of the late Corporal Cameron Baird, VC, MG, Mr Baird was on hand to unveil new signage dedicating the resource room in his son's name.
He said Corporal Baird would have been humbled by the dedication.
“He would think ‘why me, why not somebody else?’, but there's not too many Victoria Cross recipients around and I'm sure at the end of the day he'd think ‘I'll take this’,” Mr Baird said.
“The work this centre does is extremely important, it's crucial that a place like this is available for the well-being of our veterans.”
