Blissett secured a one-year contract earlier this week and is set to make her W-League debut against Canberra United at McKellar Park on Sunday.
“It’s a really surreal experience, it’s something that I have wanted ever since I was little,” Blissett said.
“Training has definitely been a step-up from WNPL, but I have found that it’s really pushed me to lift my game to the next level and it’s been incredible to be under the influence of so many amazing players.
“I’m aiming to bring in a bit of drive and go as a youngster, because that’s how I like to play.”
Blissett recently tasted success with WNPL side South Melbourne and has played for Blacktown Spartans and Marconi Stallions FC in Sydney.
The 18-year-old left-back progressed through a series of trials before securing a contract with young gun Nia Stamatopoulos.
Melbourne City has won the last three W-League premierships and is set to be powerful again under the coaching of Rado Vidosic.
“It’s a great challenge,” Vidosic said.
“We will be missing quite a few on Sunday.
“We will look to start Chelsea and Mia on Sunday.
“It’s an amazing opportunity for them to play at such a big club like Melbourne City and a dream come true really.”
