Member for Albury Greg Aplin flagged the publicly-funded runs on Tuesday, saying they were part of the NSW government’s On Demand transport trials.
"On Demand public transport enables customers to book a vehicle like a mini bus to pick them up from home or a convenient nearby location, and take them to a local transport hub or point of interest," Mr Aplin said.
Bus operators Matthew Kane (Thurgoona) and Allan Ofak (Burrumbuttock) have been jointly appointed to run the service which will go from 6am to 7pm on weekdays and involve a 12-seat vehicle.
Fares will start from $4.90 with bookings able to be made via phone, email, text messaging and Facebook.
More details of the trial, expected to run for 12 months, will be unveiled before it commences.
It will be running alongside an existing NSW government bus trial in the Riverina, with a Wagga to Albury-Wodonga coach service having been operating since July.
