The four-year-old has struggled in his first two races, over 1100m at Wangaratta a month ago, followed by 1300m at Wagga.
“You’ve got to get them fit to get them ready for the distance and Tuesday’s a bit of a D-Day for him to get a distance which suits,” Scott said.
“It doesn’t matter how much trackwork you do, it’s that race fitness you need to get them out to that journey.
“He can run four laps and a lot of horses don’t do that, but he’s a fit horse that can run all day.
“He needs to be running into the money, we’ll be disappointed if he doesn’t run in the first three because everything points to that.”
Corowa trainer Rick Freyer has Cincity, while Wodonga’s Craig Widdison boasts Magic Cranach - which has had six starts - in the same race, the opening event of the five-race program.
A number of the races boast small fields, with the first starting at 12.50pm.
