Trained by Wangaratta’s James Fraser, the seven-year-old ($5) won by two and a half lengths from Johnny The Cashman ($5.50) and Bravado Lass ($6.50).
It was the winner’s 70th start and Get Ya Kicks’ 11th win.
Meanwhile, fellow Wangaratta trainer Chris Davis’s Street Prince almost snared his first win from 35 starts.
The six-year-old ($21) was beaten by a length by Veedouble ($2.30F) in the opening race over 1600m.
“Today (Monday) his effort was magnificent, Veedouble was always going to be hard to beat,” Davis said.
“Jockey Racha Cuneen rode him magnificently and ran second on a horse that everyone had given up on.
“If you love the horse and keep him sound, you’ll meet a weak enough field that you’ll get glory one day.”
It was Street Prince’s third runner-up finish, adding to one third placing.
