Most rainfalls were less than 5mms but Coonabarabran Airport got 22mm to 9am on November 3.
Many places recorded wind gusts over 80km/h particularly around last Friday morning when a squall line hit north-east Victoria, and later in other areas that day as this change progressed further north.
Much property damage was done further south in southern Victoria.
Hogan Island just off the South Gippsland coast had hurricane force winds from the west for many hours on Friday evening and early Saturday morning, with the highest recorded gust 148km/h at 10pm Friday evening. Many other places had gusts over 100km/h.

Needless to say, the summer of 1885-86 was much hotter than normal over a big area of the nation.
There was welcome heavy rain in our regions during the third week of January 1886, but it continued very dry and hot up to early April 1886 when heavy rain finally arrived.

The centres of so-called heat lows have shown little movement.
In the past few days very isolated light to moderate rainfalls have occurred in the interiors of WA with thunderstorms.
Pressure gradients around these heat lows are weak and stronger gradients would result in more widespread heavier rainfalls.
Another low pressure with a front is now crossing the Western Bight, but does not appear to be as strongly active as the one which passed through recently.
Not as much strong wind this time will allow for heavier rainfalls this week in our regions.
There will be a break from the hot weather after this front passes through lasting up to November 10 and 11, but hot days are expected to return about November 13.
