Arendarcikas became the first player in club history to play 300 first grade games, playing a match-winning role in Saturday’s win over Wodonga Raiders.
It comes after he played his 300th grade game two years ago.
But the 41-year-old has never allowed himself to become complacent.
“From my early 20s, I’m only two games from getting dropped,” he said earnestly.
“I’ve felt like that the whole way, that’s probably what’s helped.
“Even when they were reading out my stats at training the other night, I average 20 with the bat and 20 with the ball, so I’m just average, that’s the way I feel.
“I’m an average player, I suppose all I’ve done is just hang around for a very long time.”
Arendarcikas is selling himself short because few players in association history have ever posted 5000 runs and taken 500 wickets.
