The Wanderers can push for a spot in the top-four with victory at home against bottom-placed Greta on Saturday.
After three straight losses against finals contenders Yarrawonga-Mulwala, City Colts and Ovens Valley United to start the campaign, Beechworth has started to find some form with wins overs Rovers United-Bruck and Benalla Bushrangers the past fortnight.
Wanderers’ captain Brenton Surrey admitted it has taken a number of weeks to get their best side on the park.
“It’s probably a bit like everyone after footy season season finishes, there’s weddings on and people unavailable on different weekends,” he said.
“We’ve had a couple of good wins to get us on our way, but we’re in a position now where we’ve got to win a few to stay in touch, at least with the top-four.

“It’s pretty even, the top couple are a fair way in front, but if you don’t play well, you don’t win.
“It’s a good way for the competition to be.”
The undefeated City Colts will be out to extend their win streak to seven when they head to Benalla to take on the Bushrangers.
