The footballing journeyman played four matches for NEAFL club Northern Territory Thunder this year after impressing for Southern Districts over the off-season.
He is the second player to commit to the Roos this week following Vermont midfielder Andrew Pretto.
Coach Marc Almond said Brook’s experience would be invaluable at John Foord Oval.
“He’s been playing really good footy,” Almond said.
“Even though he struggled with a groin injury at NT Thunder, he played in Southern Districts’ premiership and was named in the Team of the Year.
“We will play him half-back and maybe through the middle.
“He’s a beautiful distributor of the ball and is in a really good age bracket for what we need.
“He’s looking forward to it.”
Brook, 28, has played for rival Ovens and Murray clubs North Albury and Wodonga Raiders as well as having stints with Howlong, Tallangatta and Henty.
Corowa-Rutherglen had about 40 players at training earlier this week with Brook and Pretto joining fellow recruit Rohan Davies at the club.
Meanwhile, Albury has won the race to sign promising Brock-Burrum forward Eddy Ziebarth.
Ziebarth, who kicked 28 goals for the Hume league premier this season, was also targeted by North Albury and Lavington.
The Saints have also lost Aidan Johnson to Lavington.
