The new entity will trade as Landmark Paull & Scollard with remaining activities at Landmark’s Albury base including merchandise remaining the same.
Staff were informed of the move this week with co-founders of Paull & Scollard nearly 40 years ago, Stephen Paull and Michael Scollard to run the amalgamated operation.
Mr Paull said the decision was reached after a long period of discussions.
“We are extraordinarily proud of the service we have delivered to the rural communities in South-Eastern NSW and North-East Victoria over the past 37 years,” he said.
“We are grateful to the customers who have supported us during this time, as such it is important to us that any change would deliver only benefits to our customers.
“With Landmark’s full support, we will ensure that customers receive the same high level of service both through the transition and years to come.”
Landmark’s southern NSW general manager Scott Macgregor said the experience and reputation Paull & Scollard brought to the table was important.
“We are pleased to be in a position that will allow us to retain all employees from both businesses giving us the resources that we need to best serve our new and existing customers in the greater Albury region,” Mr Macgregor said.
“We would like to thank our existing Landmark customers, our staff as well as the senior Landmark management team who have allowed us to deliver on our long-term commitment to investing in regional and rural communities.”
In addition to Albury, Paull & Scollard has offices in Corowa and Myrtleford and all will be retained in the move.
Landmark’s head office is in Catherine Crescent, Lavington.
Mr Paull and Mr Scollard have both been former presidents of the Albury-Wodonga Stock Agents Association.
Landmark’s Mark Breen has also served in the stock agents’ senior role.
