The visitors needed 11 from the final over and first-year coach Luke Styles smashed two boundaries and a six from part-timer Ben Paddle for the club’s first win at 50-over level.
“It’s probably a bit of reward for a lot of hard work which has gone into the place,” Styles enthused.
The underdogs bowled out last season’s grand finalists for 168 off 47.1 overs.
Brendan Simmons batted superbly to finish unbeaten on 57, with import Aaron Gillespie snaring 4-31.
Gillespie (32 runs), Kade Brown (23), Styles (23 not out) and Steve McLennan (19no) then sealed the win.
