After steering the competition to victory over Western Region last year, general manager Sean Barrett said the league was thrilled for the pair to lead another campaign.
“It’s great to have those boys back,” Barrett said.
“They are both really keen to go again.
“They did a great job last year and hopefully we can continue to climb the rankings.”
Mornington Peninsula Nepean will host the third versus fourth play-off match at a venue yet to be confirmed.
They have had the wood over the Ovens and Murray in recent clashes.
In other matches, Northern play Geelong in the first versus second clash while Murray will take on Wimmera in a battle for seventh and eighth spots.
Darren Hovey will coach the Ovens and Murray’s under-19s.
Matches are on May 18.
