Fouracre spent almost a decade as an assistant-coach under Marc Almond, Karl Jacka and Joel Price at Howlong and was Gerard Midson’s deputy in the Upper Murray league last season.
Ruckman Steve Bradshaw will be his assistant-coach.
“The time sneaks away,” Fouracre said.
“I’ve always wanted to be a senior coach but I’ve been fortunate to work under some experienced coaches and some good coaches and I always knew what it took.
“I’ve also played under some not so good coaches so you see the difference between the two and what it requires to be a strong coach.
“I’m at a time in my life where the time is right and hopefully we can get in there and have a crack.”
Fouracre is hopeful of retaining the bulk of this season’s grand final list which went down to Bullioh.
Corryong and Border-Walwa are yet to announce coaches.
