New City’s Saurabh Bandekar struck a patient 71 from 109 balls in the visitors’ total of 8-172.
Leg-spinner Malhotra claimed 2-22 from 10 overs, despite injuring his quad last week, while the ever-reliable Sam Stephens chimed in with 2-28.
The Bushies were battling at 7-84, but an 89-run stand between Malhotra and Jake Hill (18no) sealed the win.
The star batsman was unbeaten on 97, while Sam Grant (3-24) and Bandekar (2-25) bowled well.
