Mayor Anna Speedie said the $1.2 million park was overseen by Wodonga Council and a joint project by Development Victoria and Central Place.
She said it features an interactive horse sculpture, climbing bars shaped as cow’s horns and recycled sleepers from the old rail-line.
“Art is always controversial but it’s actually about telling that history,” she said.

Cr Speedie said public spaces helped businesses and improved the city’s livability.
Church Street between the park and Junction Square will become a pedestrian crossing, while the long vehicle bay next to Junction Square will become a 20-minute parking zone and the northern end of Church St will be a two-hour zone.
Parking behind the Goods Shed has been opened, while additional parking off Aurora Way, South and Smith streets has been added.
