The Bureau of Meterology have predicted a maximum temperature of 34 degrees on Christmas Eve but after that, senior meteorologist Richard Carlyon said, days will really heat up.
“Across the north of the state we’ll see temperatures soar into Boxing Day and maybe even reach the mid-40s by Thursday,” he said.

Temperatures will continue to rise after Christmas, with a high of 38 degrees forecast for Boxing Day ahead of a sweltering December 27 where a maximum temperature of 42 degrees is expected and a minimum of 20 degrees.
