Police say the 29-year-old woman was stopped for a random breath test on Mate Street just before 8.30pm and later returned a breath analysis of 0.189.

The woman was charged with high-range drink-driving and will appear at Albury Local Court.

Traffic and Highway Patrol Commander Assistant Commissioner Michael Corboy said road users need to think about the influence alcohol has on their ability to make decisions as a driver, passenger or pedestrian.

“Police are disappointed that people continue to behave irresponsibility on the roads and put others lives at risk,” he said.

“Those who wish to consume alcohol during festive celebrations, need to have a Plan B and think about a designated driver for the next morning as well.”
