Parklands Albury Wodonga will host Murray Islands Bushcrafts at Gateway Island on January 10 and 17 and in East Albury on January 11.
Cultural tour guide, traditional land manager and craftsman, Brendon Kennedy will offer this holiday program exploring landcare and culture on the Murray River Islands.
Participants will learn how to make a digging stick and a coolamon, and how to find bush tucker and other uses for native plants.
The program runs from 9am to 11am.
It is funded by the Victorian government.
Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

Participants for the Gateway Village programs on January 10 and 17 should meet outside Burraja Cultural Centre at the back of the Gateway Village car park. Bring a hat and drinking water and wear closed shoes suitable for walking in the bush. Participants in the East Albury program on January 11 should meet at the Waterworks, East Albury, at the picnic area to the left after crossing the bridge.
