With no other professionals in the field, Fraser has opted to sit the weekend out and use the time to get around the Corowa Golf Club layout catching up with everyone.
Fraser and a number of other professionals had already committed to Friday’s Blitz Golf event at Geelong’s Curlewis Golf Club.
Semi-professional Kieran Pratt will play Saturday’s round and take part in the annual sportsman's night, which has attracted a number of high profile guest speakers.
Sydney Swans coach and Corowa export John Longmire, Collingwood premiership star Peter Daicos and dual Brownlow Medallist Keith Greig have all offered up their time for Corowa Golf Club’s major annual fundraiser.
Event organiser Shaun Whitechurch is expecting another big weekend.
“We’ve got a fair bit happening,” Whitechurch said.
“We’re expecting more than 300 for the sportsman's night.
“Again the field is mostly booked out with 300 golfers both days and a further 90 nominated for the shootout on Friday night.
“We didn’t go down the line of getting pros to play because Marcus was playing in the Blitz Golf.
“Brendan Goddard is playing with him in that, so we attracted some other profile sportspeople.
“I think next year we’ll revisit it again, it’s a year-by-year basis depending on Marcus’ program.”

More than $20,000 is up for grabs in prizes, as well as a further $20,000 worth of travel for a hole-in-one on Sunday.
“It just continues to amaze me that the event attracts people from far and wide,” Whitechurch added.
“Numbers are consistent year in, year out because it’s such a great tournament.
“This is the seventh year and there’s people that have played every year, as well as some first-timers.
“At this time of the year, it’s always difficult to get players, but we always manage to attract a full field.
“Having a full field, both morning and afternoon both days in this heat, at this time of year, is incredible.
“It’s certainly the biggest fundraiser for the club by a long way.
“Everything gets used from the restaurant to the accommodation to the pro shop, which is great.”
