After a promising return to the CAW District competition, the Miners have dropped their last three games, with a washout against Mount Beauty in between, which has seen them slip outside the top-six for the first time since round four.
The pressure is building for Saturday’s clash against Howlong, with victory more than likely elevating them back into a finals position.
Coach Chris Hartshorn admitted there has been a lot of forced changes to the side during the drop off in form.
“Hopefully we can get a steady side from now on,” he said.
“We should have Josh Marx and Chris Anderson back this week.
“We need to apply ourselves a bit more with our batting and get the bowlers bowling in the right areas.”

Baranduda is all but certain to make finals with a three-game buffer at the top, but there’s only nine points separating second and seventh.
“It’s going to be pretty tight towards the end, so we’ve got to keep on trying to bank as many wins as we can,” Hartshorn said.
“It’s definitely still in our hands at the moment.”
Hartshorn has been appointed captain of the CAW District side to face CAW Hume next weekend, held in conjunction with the Provincial T20 grand final at Martin Park.
The squad is: C. Hartshorn (c), M. Price, B. Kennedy (Barny-Chiltern), A. Hoskin, D. Keenes (Howlong), M. Grantham (Corowa), A. Ranaweera, D. Jenvey, D. Saville (Mount Beauty), B. de Vries, J. Barber (Kiewa), B. Sirl (Bethanga), R. Pearce (Baranduda) and B. Glass (Yackandandah).
