Thompson, who turned 40 in October, managed just eight appearances for the Border NPL 2 outfit in an injury-interrupted 2018.
Murray coach Elliot Jones couldn’t be happier.

“He has some media commitments early in the season, but he’s really keen to get to as many games as he can,” Jones said.
“We know the quality he possesses on the park, he brings teammates into the game with his skill and vision and sees passes others don’t see, but it’s more than just what he brings on the field.
“He brings a positive vibe to the changerooms, he brings energy, he brings crowds and kids to games and he is never too busy to stop and grab a photo or shake someones hand and say hello.”
Murray heads to Canberra this weekend for an AIS training camp and two practice matches.
